Is the Falcon chip in xbox 360 immune to the RROD?
No. If it was, why are there still people complaining about their 360 getting the ring of death. What you have to understand is that the Falcon chip only replaces the CPU, but the problem is that the CPU isn’t the one that’s making all those heat. It’s the GPU. That’s why MS is going to introduce the Jasper chip later this year to replace the GPU. With the Falcon and the Jasper chip, the red ring of death should be gone, if overheating is the source of the problem. There’s a very good chance that it might not be overheating that’s causing the RROD.
