Is the ExxonMobil Middle Eastern Faculty Sponsored Program an open competition?
No. Participation in the faculty component is by invitation only. Only the home academic departments of the selected ExxonMobil Middle Eastern scholars will be invited to nominate one outstanding faculty member to participate in the ExxonMobil Middle Eastern faculty sponsor program. This unique opportunity offers select geoscience faculty the opportunity to travel to the United States for a short term structured professional exchange program comprised of guest lecturing, collaborative research and participation in the annual American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in San Francisco. As part of the application process, faculty will be required to submit an abstract for the AGU meeting. Selected faculty will be subject to all applicable regulatory requirements, including U.S.
