Is the Energy-Only Offer Curve the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) Incremental (Inc)/Decremental (Dec) offer for Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) Dynamically Scheduled Resources (DSR)?
The Energy-Only Offer Curve is not the DAM Inc/Dec offer. Inc/Dec is used only in Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) for DSRs. There must be an Output Schedule for the DSR for an Inc/Dec to be used. SCED constructs an offer by taking an Inc Curve and putting it on the right side of the Output Schedule MW value and putting the Dec curve to the left of the Output Schedule MW value. It allows a DSR a way to offer a price for deviating from the Output Schedule. (Protocol 6.4.4) Energy Offer Curve – This is resource specific and requires submitting a Three-Part Offer without a minimum-energy or start-up cost, and it can be used in DAM and SCED. Dam Energy-Only Offer – Not resource specific and is used only in the DAM. The offer can therefore represent physical resources or may be a virtual offer.
