• The Election Commissioner is appointed by the Governor. The Governor appoints Election Commissioners for a four-year term in counties with a population larger than 100,000. Currently, David J. Shively serves as Lancaster County Election Commissioner. His current term ends on September 6, 2011. In Lancaster County the Election Commissioner also serves as the Jury Commissioner.
