Is the effect of the boundary layer considered when the model computes the trajectory?
Trajectory computations only compute advection from the u,v,w wind components. No independent thermodynamic effects are considered. If you want the particle trajectories to be affected by thermal stratification, then you need to run the “concentration” version of the model and output the particle trajectories.
