Is the East Boston area by Logan airport a bad place to live?
Well, you couldn’t get much closer to the airport than that! Unless you literally live inside the airport like that dude who lives inside the terminal of the airport in Paris… who got stuck there because of a problem with his visa and just stayed at the airport and has lived there for years and years.. But anyway, I digress. That area is becoming better. It’s certainly not the “best” area in Boston – i.e., it’s definitely not upscale, more working class. However, it’s not terrible either. They’re fixing up the area around Maverick Square – for a while (up until a couple years ago when the real estate crisis started) it was supposed to be one of the next “in” places in Boston. It’s still becoming a nicer area, but because real estate prices have gone down somewhat – a lot of real estate developers have stopped building or renovating condos there. But anyway, I’d say that it’s a decent place and you can certainly get some cheaper condos in that area still.
