Is the download version of software the same as the retail box version?
Yes, the download version is the same as the retail boxed version. The only difference is in the way the software is delivered to your PC, downloaded from Dell versus being loaded from a disk. Dell’s downloadable software contains the same information you would receive on the disk included in a typical retail box of software. In most cases, the file that you download is actually made up of several files “zipped” together and contains everything that you would need from a CD-ROM, including documentation.
