Is the DNA makeup of wolves and dogs 100% identical?

0

There is no animal in existence that has fully identical DNA to that of another (lets leave clones out of this), twin siblings in any animal species do not even have fully identical DNA. So considering the domestic dog is a wolf (grey wolf) subspecies, their DNA is far from identical. This variation continues throughout all dog breeds. Of course the same applies for all wolves and their subspecies including the other grey wolf subspecies – the dingo. Bodin – wolves do not have breeds, breed is a term reserved for domestic animals only within Zoology. Wesley – Your answer is so full of holes you could drain pasta with it… – I’m afraid your claim that the differences in DNA forms a major argument that the dog is not a wolf subspecies is complete nonsense. As I have outlined, no two animals have completely identical DNA, that is to say the same species, within the same subspecies, within the same family (not the taxon) and the same siblings. There is no reasonable argument against dogs
