Is the distance to the nearest star to earth bigger than the size of the sun?

The Sun is the nearest star, but the next nearest star is a lot, lot further that the diameter of the sun!

The Sun is the nearest star, but if you’re talking about the next nearest star which is Alpha Centauri (I don’t think I spelled it right) than the size of the Sun is extremely small compared to the distance be Earth and Alpha Centaruri.
