Is the display technology the same as that for the Sandel SN3308 Primary Navigation Display?
It is a 2nd Generation of Sandel’s patented rear-projection display technology, improving brightness, viewing angle, and lamp life. It is the only avionics display which has a 180-degree viewing angle – the display has the same brightness and color cross-side as it does on-side, and 2000-hour lamp life. The projector uses a miniature active-matrix LCD display that produces an incredibly sharp, brilliant, and high-resolution image that is rear-projected directly to the face of the instrument. This technology has been proven in thousands of installations. Please see the Sandel overview: Sandel’s Revolutionary “Light-Engine” Display Technology.
