Is the Discoverer metadata stored in the database?
Yes. Many products require metadata to be stored on the application server’s file system. Replicating the metadata becomes a time consuming task each time a change is required to the reporting environment. Discoverer stores all of its metadata in the database. There is only one copy of the metadata, one place to update it, and only one place to maintain it.
