Is the Council aware that tankers belonging to Lothian Chemical Company bearing hazard warning symbols, unload here?
Does the Council accept responsibility for ensuring that residents in the area are not at risk from storage activities at the second warehouse? If so, I should be grateful for clarification as to which department is responsible. When the same question was put to an official from the Department of Planning, who visited the storage site on 5 May, he replied that this was an Environmental Health issue” ANSWER by Councillor A D Caine, Chairman of the Council :- Thank you for your question Mr Love. The Council is acutely aware of the serious concerns and anxiety regarding the storage of MBM and any substances perceived as being hazardous to healt
