Is the cost of the H1N1, flu, or pneumonia immunizations paid by the wellness benefit?
Yes Does it matter where I go to get the immunization? The H1N1, flu, or pneumonia immunizations should be administered by a PPO provider to assure that you receive the maximum benefit available. As an alternative, standard flu and pneumonia vaccines are available at the Wellness Fairs which are offered during the flu season. At times, the quantity of flu and pneumonia vaccines is limited and you might not be able to obtain them at a Wellness Fair. The H1N1 vaccine has been recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to certain targeted groups such as pregnant women and persons age 6 months to 24 years. Please contact your primary care physician to find out if they have any of these vaccinations available. For information regarding the wellness fairs, please consult the PEBP website.
