Is the continuous supply of water affected by a power failure?

Our water supply is provided through the Region of York from the City of Toronto, with the Town providing the underground network needed to facilitate this. In the unlikely event that a power failure occurs, at any time, the City of Toronto’s water supply system relies on two separate power supplies to all facilities, to ensure continuous operation if a local failure occurs in the primary power supply. This means that if there is a failure at one water filtration plant, system adjustments are made and the shortfall made up by other plants.
