Is the concept of an alkaline Ph balanced body new?
The importance of an alkaline body is not a new concept even though most people today are just discovering it. In modern society we eat a lot of processed and cooked foods and not enough raw greens and whole grains. When necessary nutrients are missing from our diet we than cause acidosis which is a condition in the body where the ph (potential of hydrogen) becomes imbalance. Scientific research has proven that cooked and processed foods cause a depletion of enzymes, intestinal toxemia, constipation, leukocytosis (caused by intestinal leakage as undigested food particles leak into and attack the circulatory and lympthatic systems), more prone to allergies and leaving oneself prone to toxic intruders, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and oxygen depletion. Common acidosis symptoms: Arthritis, insomnia, migraine headaches, acid or strong perspiration, alternating constipation and diarrhea, burning sensation in the mouth, sensitive teeth to acidic fruits, diabetes mellitus, kidney failure
