is the computation of the load of magnetic contactors are thesame with circuit breaker load calculation?
Dear Sir, Computation of load of magnetic contactor and circuit breaker can not be compared to each other. Because: Magnetic contactor requires continuous power supply thus, continuous VA burden is applied on control circuit. Where as in case of circuit breakers; during putting ON OR OFF operation of the circuit breaker….momentarily supply is applied to closing or tripping coil of circuit breaker. Only comparison could be done in one way i.e. pull on VA burden of contactor is small as compared to VA burden of coil (closing or tripping) is considerably high.
