Is the Commission responsible for everything relating to rally and road events in Australia?

Most but not all. The Commission is responsible for making only those decisions about matters that are delegated to it by the Board of CAMS. As a general rule each state is responsible for matters relating only to each state. Other Commissions are also responsible for activities that impact on the conduct of rally and road events – such as licencing of officials. The Board of CAMS and the administration, through the CEO, are also responsible for a range of matters, such as administration and finances, interaction with Government regulatory agencies etc. State Sport and Club Development Commissions sometimes work directly to the CEO and the Board of CAMS on some issues – the NSW Rally Registration Scheme being one example.
