Is the Columbian Shark Catfish a good tank mate?

Research would have told you your columbian shark will eventually need to be housed in brackish water. As young fish they can live in fresh or brackish however as they age they need brackish water. Yes they will eventually eat your smaller fish. You already have oto cats, plecos and rainbow cats how large is your tank? ALthough they CAN get to the two foot range usually not more than 12-14 in a tank. But they will eat other fish. Also, you shouldn’t keep two rainbows together in the same tank. They are very territorial and not tolorant of other “catfish” in their space not even another rainbow. They have been known to chase to death to keep their space in the tank. They have also been known to pick on smaller fish who invade their space as well. Is it too late to return him to the store or perhaps rehouse him in his own tank?
