Is the code of conduct the same as the code of ethics?

You really need to look at the content of the code to understand its application as companies will give these things whatever name they choose. Generally a code of conduct governs, to some extend, the way a company acts in particular circumstances. So you might have a code of conduct in relation to purchasing (fair trade for eg), code of conduct in relation to corruption… A code of ethics is similar but can be more high level, more a statement of belief. Under a code of ethics the company may state a belief in ethical purchasing which they may then implement through a code of conduct governing purchasing behaviour.
