Is the Clip removable from the Clip style Smart Case? If yes, what remains after the clip has been removed?
Yes, the locking Ultra-Clip IS removable. Compress the spring-loaded button on top, turn the clip 90 degrees and then simply slide it off. To re-attach the clip, slide it on at a 90 degree angle until you hear the locking mechanism click into place. With the clip removed, the case is almost as minimal as the Slip version…. We say almost, because there is a small knob that stays planted on the back of the case onto which the Ultra-Clip locks. The knob is small, but you can feel it when slipped into a tight jeans pocket.
