Is the Cleveland Clinic program available to anyone?
The Cleveland Clinic online medical second opinion program is available in most locations. Patients may access the Cleveland Clinic online medical second opinion service directly by going to www.clevelandclinic.org. In some states, to comply with state licensing requirements, the patient’s physician will need to sign a “request for consultation” form. This form is presented online to the patient. Once the form is signed and returned to Cleveland Clinic, the patient will work directly with Cleveland Clinic staff to complete the second opinion request. The program is not available in a few states that do not allow for online consultation. The patient will be notified if the service is not available.
