Is the Chihuahua hard to housebreak?
Although this breed is intelligent and capable of learning quickly, it can sometimes be a slow learner when it comes to housebreaking. The key is for the owner to be firm, positive, and provide small treats as reinforcement for a job well done. Remember, the Chihuahua does not respond well to negative reinforcement during training. If you live in an apartment or home without a yard, a Chihuahua can be paper-trained.
