Is the ‘center keys only’ service a full alternative to Smartlaunch/CyberCafé Pro or only complementary in some manner?
The ‘center keys only’ service is not an alternative to Smartlaunch, CyberCafé Pro or similar software. It does not manage your users, computers, financials and many other critical areas that those offer. Gamematter handles only the license management of the games and is specifically designed to benefit chains or franchises that wish to optimize the use of their licenses across their network of centers. Single centers can also use the feature so, for example, you can create normal desktop shortcuts for your games (using the Key Pool) and launch them directly from Windows instead of through Smartlaunch or CyberCafé Pro. In other words, if Gamematter supports a game, then you can simply upload your keys and not worry about how the license management works. Centers can benefit from both the Gamematter feature set and independent cafe management software (such as Smartlaunch). Used together, they will make a center’s operation substantially more efficient and effective.
