Is the casing prone to peeling or wearing?
This is an issue where only time will tell. The leather covering is very well adhered to the casing and the exposed plastic areas have a lightly textured finish so there is no coating that can peel off. Leather has a habit of scuffing, wrinkling and cracking over time so it’s possible that in the long term this will happen to you, however this must have been taken into account when they chose which leather to use and how to treat it. The back of the leather is pressed into a mesh pattern which I assume helps somehow, but there is one point where the leather is tightly folded if the screen is pushed all the way back. This may affect the finish but I doubt it will actually crack, not for many years anyway by which time you may or may not still be using the machine?
