CareScience follows HIPAA guidelines for core measures data collection and uses a secure Internet connection for Web-based data abstraction. Additionally to ensure confidentiality to all data, access to core measures data is only given to authorized personnel in client facilities. Unique user IDs and passwords are provided to safeguard user access to core measures data on the Web-enabled Data Management Utility.
