Is The Capital Punishment Should Be Abolished For Maintaining The Law And Order?

0

Capital punishment or the death penalty is the execution of a convinced criminal by the state as punishment of crime. The word “Capital” is derived from the Latin “capitals” which means concerning the head. Therefore to be subjected to capital punishment means to figuratively lose ones head. The question of whether capital punishment should be abolished or not arises very often, both negative and positive aspects must be considered to arrive at a conclusion. Firstly the right to live is fundamental to all human beings. According to the law none has the authority to take anyone else’s life. The violation of this law does not justify the court decision of the death penalty. The European court of human rights protects the rights set out in the European convention of human rights. A death sentence conflict with the stated rights to live, therefore there will be no death sentence in the member states of EU. Capital punishment is an abuse of the basic right to live so it should be abolished.
