Is the Canon EOS 500D better or Cannon EOS 5D. Pro and Cons?
The 500D is an entry level DSLR compared to the 5D that is an advanced or professional camera. 500D – Pro’s – cheaper than 5D, Video, smaller, lighter (less weight), Zoom of focal length gain due to smaller sensor, good enough for everyday pictures and arguably good enough for a number of professional type pictures. 500D – Cons – poor picture quality with high Iso settings, limited advanced functions. 5D – Pro’s – better picture quality under high Iso settings, more advanced functions available, more customizable than 500D, full size sensor (good quality picture recording even in low light), advanced noise reduction features. 5D – Cons – expensive, large, heavy. Bottom line is that you cannot really compare these cameras – they are designed for different types of consumers – entry level vs pro. The 5D is without any doubt the better camera – that is if you can afford it and have the actual knowledge to use the features of the 5D.
