Is the canning process verified by the authorities?

0

All our canning processes are verified by the “Competent Authorities” in each producing country. A competent authority is an official term and is often a country’s equivalent of the Food Standards Agency. These authorities check the standards in the factories and in particular the critical points in processing. Each factory will also validate regularly that all their retorts (large steam pressurised cylinders) are working correctly and that the sterilising heat gets to all the cans at the minimum level for effective sterilising.
