Is the CADVault software itself copy protected?
On the face of it, no. But in practice, yes. After installation, you are required to obtain a license from CADLock, Inc. Once this is done, there is nothing to stop the license information file being exported and used on another computer. When imported by a copy of the freely downloadable CADVault software, this will provide a fully working copy of CADVault. This would appear to be an open invitation to piracy, but it is not.
