Is the British political system obsolete?

Couldn’t agree more with you. 1. The unions should stop funding New Labour and set up a genuine party for ordinary people and not the bosses. 2. We should go over to a system of Proportional Representation. 3. There should be a cap on the amount political parties are allowed to spend on elections and they should all be given equal air time (except for the far-right BNP and NF, who have no respect for democracy). Otherwise it is not surprising that more and more people can’t be bothered voting – there is no point, when there is a choice of three identical parties to choose from.
