Is the Britains Countess of Wessex the Princess Edward as well?

I wish people who don’t know what they are talking about would refrain from making stupid stabs at answers! Of course The Countess of Wessex is The Princess Edward just as Diana was officially The Princess Charles and Fergie was The Princess Andrew. It is considered very old fashioned now, though the most well known example is Prince Michael’s wife, properly known as The Princess Michael. It is the same protocol that a woman would take her husbands name in marriage e.g. Flora Smith marrying Henry Brown would be known as Mrs Henry Brown. If she survived her husband then she would be known as Mrs Flora Brown. Sadly these customs are fading (probably like marriage) – hope that answers your question.
