Is the Boardmaker Activity Pad durable?
Yes, the Activity Pad enclosure is made from a very tough plastic (a polycarbonate/ABS alloy) and Activity Pads have held up very well in actual use. They are NOT indestructible. For example, the touchpad could be damaged by a sharp object (such as a scissors, or even a sharp pencil). The LCD display could be broken, especially with a hard, direct impact. The battery door screw can be over-tightened. SmartPockets can be broken or torn. If the unit or a SmartPocket is damaged, stop using it and contact Mayer-Johnson or Ability Research for service information. Do not use a SmartPocket which has been damaged.
