Is the biggest Football Cup in the world in the DLI Museum?
For most of the 1920s, the 2nd Battalion DLI was in India on garrison duty. During that time, the battalion’s football team was all-conquering and won ‘The Lahore Trades Cup’ three times and so kept the giant silver cup. For many years, the battalion claimed that this was the biggest football cup in the world. Perhaps it was. Perhaps it still is.
