Is the Bible a divinely inspired collection of documents or a book written by men?
The bible was written by men who were divinely inspired by one God’s law. These laws go on to teach mankind to love, respect, honor, forgive and live a life with morals. The men who wrote on these scrolls were prophets, inspired by God’s vision and by apostles, influenced by Jesus to spread his teachings.
You seem to have answered your own question the way that you want to, so are not open to any other answer. Its a book by men copied from itself and based upon various local religious customs and practices. The more general the prophecy the easier it is to claim that it came true. Obviously the one concerning Jesus are not completed since Jesus was not accepted as the messiah except by a very small group of people, and fulfilled none of the prophecys hence he was not accepted as the messiah. Its a book, most people treat book well, I have 3 different bibles in 2 different languages, I treat them as well as any other book that I own and I don’t believe a word of the bible, but bibles on the whole are well constructed and slightly ornate, there is an artistry in there construction not in there contents. Yes there is some historical truth in the bible, some of it is oral history of the Jews and some is just good story telling, I have books by Tom Clancy that mention real places but I don’t
