Is the best predictor of success intelligence or hard-work?
The best predictor of success isn’t intelligence, for sure. In fact many smart people end up having trouble with systems that don’t know to integrate unusual people. And hard work is not that great a predictor either. The best predictor of success in terms of wealth is who your parents are. If you mean a more general kind of success, then maybe hard work comes out on top.
