Is the Barony of Bonwicke a political group?
Not in the conventional sense. We aren’t a political group as it relates to the real world, but we do have a fairly well-developed internal hierarchy based on the accomplishments and martial prowess of our members. The offices held within our organization have actual responsibilities and purposes assigned to them, and we tend to take them very seriously. Additionally the Kingdom of Ansteorra, of which Bonwicke is a part, is a monarchy, with a King and Queen at the head who have the final say in matters within the realm, just as they would in a historical monarchy. Because of this you’ll often hear conversations and comments about “S.C.A. politics” from our members, with pretty much the same regularity as you would in any group of people who have formed a governing body to make decisions.
