Is the Barefoot Bandit – Calton A. Harris Moore in Eleuthera?
(Eleuthera, Bahamas) – National and International Press are reporting the presence of Colton A. Harris-Moore aka The Barefoot Bandit in Eleuthera but The Eleutheran was unable to confirm this with any of the local authorities we have checked with. We do know that police, acting on a reported sighting of a boat believed, though not known, to be stolen by Harris-Moore from Abaco, near to a Cay off Spanish Wells, North Eleuthera, by local fishermen, are “on alert” for the presence of the wanted man. The 19-year-old has garnered quite a reputation over the years that has landed him on the FBI’s wanted list. As recently as last Sunday, the “Barefoot Bandit”, it is alleged, stole a Cessna 400 Corvalis from Bloomington, Indiana, that crash landed in Abaco on Sunday, with further reports of a stolen car, boat, and break-ins.
