No; we designed the ballast to install as much like a standard ballast as possible. The fixed level (tuning) dip-switch can be set prior to installation, and attaches to the fixture with a single screw. The photocell is designed for quick and easy installation, and has no adjustments. The dip-switch and photocell are hardwired to the ballast. No commissioning is required.
