Is the authentic bartending school good?

It depends which “authentic bartending school” you are talking about. If you are talking about the ad in the newspapers saying you will earn “x” amount weekly, it’s not worth it. You pay to take a class to get a license to serve alcohol. It’s not worth the money you have to fork out. Your best bet, if you are interested in taking classes in mixology in addition to learning the stuff you would with the “authentic bartending school,” is to check at your local colleges. Ask their registrar offices if they have a hospitality management school, and see what they offer in the lines of culinary or mixology classes. Do your research before you write out any checks, and avoid calling “800” numbers (or any like it). The best, though, is to apply as a bartender and learn as you go. That’s what I did!
