Yes,Jerry is a Registered Cherokee Indian of the “Trail of Tears” lineage. Jerry’s Grandmother, Rosie on his father’s side (James), was registered in 1903 with her father, Albert and other siblings. Albert is the son of Sarah (Albert was in the Cherokee Confederacy). Sarah – at 12 years old – was put on the Trail of Tears in Georgia with her Mother Juanita and six other children. Sarah’s Father – who’s last name was Rogers – was murdered for his land by Union Soldiers prior to the “Trail of Tears”.
