There are many ventriloquists still performing and making big names for themselves: Jeff Dunham can’t have a show any more without it selling out. Pete Michaels is still working as a full time performer and is quite successful at it. Ronn Lucas has been working a regular show in Las Vegas for years and just started at a new place, if I’m not mistaken. Jim Barber has his own theater in Branson. Stephen Knowles, along with Bob and Marty Hamill, all work at the Comedy Barn in TN. Jimmy Nelson, a legend to ventriloquists, is still working part time doing shows for children. Mark Wade is one of the best non-televised children’s entertainers out there. Dan Horn is still hilarious with his old man, Orson. Jay Johnson (used to be on the TV Sitcom Show “Soap”) had a run on Broadway with his show “The Two and Only” that talks about the history of ventriloquism.
