Is the art exhibition business motivated or purely from an arts perspective?
AK: No there is no business aspect to the art exhibition. We are inviting our clients but they where purely for observation of the modern and contemporary works by leading artists of the twentieth century. It is purely for the appreciation of the artwork by art lovers and visitors alike and there is absolutely no business element to it. It is simply an art event. AM: What is JP Morgan’s business strategy in KSA as well as the Middle East? Is it different from Europe? AK: Our businesses in the Middle East fall into three major lines of businesses; investment banking which includes mergers, capital raising and acquisitions, asset and wealth management and lastly, treasury and security services. Across all these three lines of businesses, we are present in five locations: Dubai, Riyadh, Bahrain, Beirut and Cairo. Our strategy is to continue building our presence in the region.
