Ranked from hardest to easiest boot camp Marine Corps Army Navy Air Force The Marine Corps basic training is the longest and the most gruelling at 13 weeks, but if you are in for a challenge and that is your kind of thing then go for it. There is definitely a personality distinction between Marines and regular soldiers. I can’t quite put my finger on it. The Air Force basic training is six or eight weeks, I can’t remember. The Air Force is kind of downsizing at the moment and because of the techincal nature of most of their jobs, less personnel are needed. As for the Army and the Navy, I’d say the difficulty is about the same. The Navy tends to have nicer locations around the world though. My recommendation is to shop around and see who can get you the best deal in your contract. Don’t be afraid to talk to recruiters from different branches, whatever you choose is ultimately your decision and affects YOUR life. Pick what works best for you.
