Is the area around HC quiet or busy?
Heron Cove defines peace and serenity, tucked down a winding gravel driveway amid hushed woods on a private beach, away from the heavy traffic and congestion of the main road to Mt. Desert Island. It is completely removed from noise, traffic, etc. The only things you see on the beach are herons and cormorants, with sailboats and the occasional seal in our crystal-clear ocean water. Is Heron Cove convenient to groceries, near medical care, etc.? Heron Cove is close to the town of Ellsworth, which offers Wal-Mart, chain grocery stores, restaurants, L.L.Bean, etc. Even closer is the postcard-perfect village of Blue Hilla popular vacation and retirement destination boasting a yacht club, cultural events, fine dining, and upscale shops alongside grocery and health food stores. Blue Hill and Ellsworth have hospitals, and the city of Bangor (45 minutes away) offers the Eastern Maine Medical Center.
