Is the appeareance of fissures in the bamboo products possible ?
Yes, it is. But the fissures that may appear in the bamboo products are very superficial, so the products are never structurally affected. In the same way as the stains above mentioned , the little fissures make of these products unique pieces. The reason of the appereance of these fissures is that the guadua bamboo wall fibers and nodes work in perpendicular direction during the drying process. These little fissures, that are typical in the big tropical bamboo plants may appear even if they have mechanical drying process.
