Is the amphitheater for instruction only like the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument amphitheater? Or do you intend to have entertainment, tall standing lights and large speakers?
The amphitheater will provide a venue for educational seminars that provide our guests with information about Colorado and the outdoor recreation opportunities available in the immediate area, across our state and throughout the country. It will also enable Bear View and the Outdoor Experience to educate guests on the importance of environmental stewardship, introduce them to and familiarize them with the use of various recreational products and provide them with the information and skills needed to enjoy the outdoor responsibly. It is not our intent to become an entertainment venue. While some lighting and amplification may be required, large scale production lights or speakers are not part of the plan. Moreover, the amphitheater will be situated at the base of a cliff to shield the neighborhood from the minimal light and sound that may be part of the presentations.
