Is the aim of fully conscious computers part of mans evolution?

Fully conscious computer parts would be part of mans demise. As this is in biology i take it your referring to bionic theories. If you had a fully conscious bionic arm then technically it would be independent from the rest of your body. How long before the arm or similar parts dictated your actions. And if you want to be really far fetched how long before something inevitably as sophisticated as that can reprogramme a biological entity like ourselves. Sure the physical attributes would be immense, but we would eventually lose all aspects of humanity, good & bad. Good interesting question, thank you!
