The agency′s RIF policy specifies what information should be given to an employee affected by a RIF to include: the reason for the RIF, the competitive area(s) and competitive group(s), the benefits to which an employee is entitled, reinstatement rights and recall rights, the manner in which the agency will notify an employee affected by a RIF of any vacancy involving recall rights, and the requirements of S.C. Code of Laws Ann. § 8-11-185.
