Is the Adiana procedure covered by my insurance?
Most insurance plans will cover the Adiana procedure, however, you should check with your individual insurance provider and your doctor’s office ahead of time. Please call the customer service number on your insurance card, or ask your doctor’s office to find out for you. Insurance companies list the procedure as Hysteroscopic Sterilization, code 58565. Some plans will cover only part of the cost of the procedure. In addition, the amount of your copay may vary depending on where the procedure is performed (in your doctor’s office or at an outpatient clinic, for example).
