Is the academic content consistent with national standards?
If academic content is incorporated in the material, it should be consistent with the appropriate national standards. For example, material encompassing math should be consistent with the recommendations of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics; science-based materials should be consistent with the recommendations of the National Science Foundation; and materials involving Social Studies should be consistent with the standards recommended by the National Council for Social Studies.
